Support to the national durable solutions framework
Under the leadership of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Ministry of Planning and the Ministry of Migration and Displacement have developed a National Plan to End Displacement. Representatives from the humanitarian, development, stabilisation, and peacebuilding community provided technical support and input towards the completion of the plan, which leverages the humanitarian-development-peace nexus. Actors in Iraq, led by the Durable Solutions Task Force (DSTF), have also developed a strategic and operational framework to support the implementation of the national plan. The strategy is grounded in several frameworks, including the IASC framework on Durable Solutions for Internally Displaced Persons and the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT) Protection Strategy, which seeks to ensure the centrality of protection throughout the post-conflict transition towards durable solutions.
