Operating under the joint leadership of the Deputy Governor for technical affairs and an aid community representative appointed by the RC, the Joint Coordination Forum (JCF) serves as the primary governorate-level coordination mechanism in conflict-affected governorates, replacing and transitioning from previous area-based coordination (ABC) groups. The JCF brings together governorate authorities, line sectoral directorates, UN agencies, INGOs, local NGOs, and CSOs to coordinate service delivery, prevent duplication, and share information. The JCF focuses on facilitating information exchange, addressing operational and access challenges, aligning activities with governorate priorities, supporting Durable Solutions interventions, and strengthening local partnerships.
